Every March, the Leukaemia Foundation presents their big initiative of the year – the World’s Greatest Shave. The shave sees people raising funds and awareness for those living with blood cancer through shaving their heads. This is also a way through which individuals can stand in solidarity with cancer victims, and is always a huge success, making a massive impact for those affected by this severe illness.
So far this year, shavers around the world have raised over $9 million, and the donations are still welcome. Blood cancer is a serious illness that affects countless Australians, and the shave is a practical way through which you can reach out to those suffering. To find out more, or sponsor a shaver, visit the event’s site here. Feeling brave? Why not do the shave yourself – it’s not too late to get started!
This year will be my third year taking part in the event. It’s always one of the highlights of my year, and I can’t wait to get fundraising. If you’re feeling generous, we’d appreciate any kind support at our fundraising page. Thanks so much for the support!
